Intended operating modes:
1) quay berthing;
2) towage of unballasted dock to docking area;
3) on-site operations (anchoring, submersion, reception of a vessel,
emersion with the vessel, securing the vessel inside the dock);
4) towage of the dock c/w the vessel.
Construction
Pontoons and wing walls
are framed transversely (500 mm spacing) while the decks are
longitudinally framed. Wing walls are attached to wing walls with
bolted flanges.
Onboard
Equipment:
- mooring, towing and
vessel-to-dock alignment equipment;
- load-lifting equipment:
four 5-ton @ 28 m stationary cranes;
- hull bearers: keel track
and side cribwork;
- dock-to-berth,
dock-on-basin and vessel-to-dock fasteners;

- sag, list and trim
meters.
