RODS FEM - Flat
Rod Systems Calculation Modul.
Calculations are performed
by the finite element method in a rod approximation. Input of
initial data is made from a text file. The following types of loads
are provided for each rod:
- distributed according
to the linear law into parts of the rod length,
- a concentrated transverse force,
- concentrated longitudinal force (however,
the complex bending of the rod is not yet considered),
- a concentrated moment.
Frame/slab assemblies
can be free or rest on a support. Support conditions are formed by
combining three types of movement restrictions: longitudinal to the
X-axis, longitudinal to the Y-axis and rotation. Each of these
limitations can be either rigid (i.e., no movement along the given
coordinate) or flexible. When calculating frames, it is possible to
introduce a free node, i.e. such a node in which the rods do not
transfer rotation to each other. This makes it possible to
calculate, for example, structures such as boom rods with backstay
cables.
Shear deformations and torsional stiffness of
beams can be taken into account (when calculating slabs).
