The AY15
project is the product of joint work by an international team of
shipbuilders with the participation of Sea Tech specialists for
the customer Mr. Alexander Obidin.
The yacht's
exterior is the result of collaboration between Sea Tech Marine
Design Studio and the leading designer of the Australian company
SABDES Yacht Design - Scott Blee.
For the AY15
project, a special hull form was used - Fast Displacement Hull
Form (FDHF), which due to its geometry (compared to conventional
round-chine hulls) requires significantly less energy for
movement at high speeds and allows the vessel maintains high
performance over the entire speed range by reducing wave drag.
Accordingly, the cruising range increases while fuel consumption
and emissions into the atmosphere decrease. Also, the advantages
of FDHF include: improved maneuverability, comfort and
seaworthiness with a significant reduction in the rolling
amplitude.
