The ST23WI project ice-class workboat was developed by
Sea Tech by order of Rosmorport. The boat is designed for
service and crew transfer purposes, including delivery of
commissions, crew members, and their families to vessels. It is
also capable of carrying up to 0.5 tons of cargo, performing
patrolling, surveying, and environmental monitoring, as well as
serving as a pilot boat. The vessel features enhanced strength
and seaworthiness that exceed the class requirements.
Construction of the series was carried out from late summer 2013
to October 2014 at the Okskaya Sudoverf (Navashino, Nizhny
Novgorod region). The boats were named: "Kapitan Belyaev" (port
of registry — Kaliningrad), "Sergey Cherednichenko" (Vladivostok),
and "Nord" (Vostochny).
Several modifications have been developed based on this project,
incorporating the experience gained from the lead vessels of the
