The vessel combines the functions of a patrol boat and a support
vessel and is designed for:
- performing the functions of a border patrol boat;
- transportation of personnel of border units;
- providing assistance to ships in distress;
- towing vessels with a displacement of up to 500t at a
speed of 4kn.
Fundamentally new, in relation to the marine version of the
1496M1 project, the hull contours provide a reduced river draft,
which will allow the boat to operate on small rivers while
maintaining high speed. In addition, the boat accommodates twice
the number of crew compared to its naval predecessor.
The peculiarity of this project is the combination of steel hull
cladding and aluminum frame. The deck and superstructure of the
vessel are also made of aluminum. The boat has a launching and
retrieving lifeboat device developed by the
Sea Tech Design Bureau.
